In the first 20 years I cleaned the rims almost every week. Then at some point 10 years ago the fight was lost and nothing was done. After the historic certification of the VW California, I considered buying new “cheese hole rims” (also H-compatible) or trying it first with the spray film presented by Manu @schalldose.on.tour.
Due to the free time because of the travel ban I just started cleaning.

I would even be satisfied with the current result.
It would be great if someone had a tip for hobbyists. Nothing fancy. No sandblasting or something likely.
The rim stars are actually still acceptable, I can make small repairs. The problem is the rim base, which was originally only highly polished. Are there simple home user options? Just to tease something out. The rims are now almost 30 years on (bought February ’91). #stayathome#campathome #savethesummer
