**Two Weeks in a Nostalgic Campervan through Bavaria: A Travelogue **
Days 1-3: Franconian Lake District - Setting off on an Adventure 出発 We set off from Wolframs-Eschenbach in our bright white original 1989 VW LT Florida. The first few days take us through the idyllic Franconian Lake District. We cruise along the Altmühlsee, where we soak up the sun . In the evening, we enjoyed the rv-park at the lake in Muhr am See under the open sky and listen to the crickets chirping .
Days 4-6: Romantic Road and Allgäu - Pure Enjoyment We continue on the Romantic Road. Half-timbered villages, dreamy castles and rolling hills line our way ️. In Dinkelsbühl we admire the medieval old town and in Rothenburg ob der Tauber we are enchanted by the fairytale atmosphere ✨. Arriving in the Allgäu, we hike through the lush meadows and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Alps ️. In Füssen we visit Neuschwanstein Castle, the majestic fairytale castle of King Ludwig II. Übernachtungen auf Wohnmobilstellplätzen in Lechbruck und Füssen .
Days 7-9: Alps and Munich - City Flair and Nature Enjoyment ️ We wind our way along the Alpine curves to Munich. We stop at the Tegernsee and Schliersee to enjoy the picturesque scenery and the crystal-clear lakes . Arriving in Munich, we spend the night at the Allianz Arena, home of the FC Bayern München ⚽️. The next day we explore the Bavarian capital by bike . The Englischer Garten invites you to take a relaxing bike tour before we treat ourselves to a hearty snack and a cool Helles at the Hofbräuhaus .
Days 10-12: Walhalla and Bavarian Forest - Mysticism and History . In Donaustauf stands the Walhalla, an impressive temple reminiscent of the ancient Pantheon. In the Bavarian Forest, also known as "Bavarian Canada", we immerse ourselves in the mystical atmosphere of the dense coniferous forest 🇨🇦. Hiking along the Black Regen, we enjoy the peace and quiet of nature .
Days 13-14: Return to Franconia - Farewell to Bavaria With many new impressions and memories in our luggage, we start our return journey to Franconia. In Bamberg we visit the cathedral and the old town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site ⛪️. In Würzburg we are enchanted by the charm of the Baroque Residenz ✨.
Our Conclusion:
Two weeks in a campervan through Bavaria was an unforgettable experience. The varied landscape, the picturesque villages and towns and the warm hospitality of the Bavarians inspired us ❤️. With our nostalgic VW LT Florida we were unterwegs in style and enjoyed the freedom and flexibility of motorhome travel .
