Westward! 10 Years Anniversary of our Campervan Adventures on the Camino de Santiago
10 years ago, in the fall of 2014, we embarked on an unforgettable adventure: With our VW T3 California,
which was just celebrating its 25th birthday, we set off on a pilgrimage of a special kind. Along the French Atlantic coast, our journey took us along the north coast of Spain, through the Basque Country, Asturias and Galicia to Santiago de Compostela, the destination of the Camino de Santiago. But that wasn't all: Driven by a sense of adventure and wanderlust, we continued our journey to Finisterre, the westernmost point of the European mainland.
In 2014, we embarked on an unforgettable journey with our VW T3 California. Along the French Atlantic coast, we made our way along the north coast of Spain to Santiago de Compostela and on to Finisterre. A western pilgrimage in the footsteps of the Camino de Santiago, which led us through breathtaking landscapes and profound moments. ️
- Mont-Saint-Michel: The monastery island stood majestically in the sea and welcomed us with a mystical atmosphere.
- Dune de Pilat: The highest dune in Europe, a gigantic sea of sand with breathtaking views. ️
- Hossegor: A surfer's paradise with a laid-back atmosphere, where we let our souls wander and watched the waves.
- Ribadissela: An idyllic fishing village on the Asturian coast, where we enjoyed freshly caught fish and warm hospitality.
- Picos de Europa: Majestic mountain range.
- Santiago de Compostela: Destination of the Camino de Santiago and a place of reflection. It is impressive how the pilgrims reach their goal after their pilgrimage.
- Finisterre: The westernmost point of Europe, where we stood at the end of the world and felt the vastness of the Atlantic.
